We led the redevelopment of a heritage warehouse into an innovative retail concept showcasing the best African fashion, lifestyle and design brands under one roof.
The 1910 warehouse, called "Potato Sheds" was previously Johannesburg's oldest vegetable market. It had been standing empty for a number of years before Atterbury Property decided to partner with Source SA, leaders in Southern African design, to take on the redevelopment of the space. The Street Society assisted Source SA with the reconversion strategy, implementation and project management of Work | Shop | New | Town.
